DONOR ADVISED FUNDS

Blackfriars accepts a range of gifts including contributions made from donor-advised funds, family foundations, IRA distributions and other charitable funds. These gifts are not eligible to receive non-tax-deductible benefits.

PLANNED GIFTS

At Blackfriars, we understand that the decision to designate a planned gift is one of the most personal commitments a patron can make. Planned gifts are committed during an individual’s lifetime and take effect posthumously. There are various giving vehicles including a bequest in a will or trust, beneficiary designation through a retirement account or life insurance policy. If you are interested in designating a gift of this nature, please use the following language: “I hereby give and bequeath to Blackfriars Theatre, incorporated as Blackfriars of Rochester, NY, Inc., a not-for-profit corporate in Rochester, New York [specific amount, percentage of estate, or specific property], designated for [General Purposes, Education and Engagement, Accessibility Programs, Endowment].” With a planned gift, you ensure that Blackfriars is vibrant for generations to come.

MATCHING GIFTS
