As part of Nazareth College's Visual Communication Design BFA curriculum, Blackfriars works with the student designers on a 3-week Season Campaign Design Project. At the end of the program, each student pitches their design campaign and Blackfriars chooses one artist to be their Season Designer to help brand the new season with original artwork.
Blackfriars Theatre and PUSH Physical Theatre began an artistic collaboration during the 2015-2016 Season with the World Premiere production of PUSH Physical Theatre's Jekyll & Hyde. The intent of the partnership is to continue to champion new works of ground-breaking, theatrical storytelling in future seasons.
Join Blackfriars Theatre for comedy weekends and late nights with Rochester's premiere improv comedy troupe: Unleashed! Improv along with special guests for each performance. Check out the Blackfriars Comedy Series schedule below.
